PLUMB, Joseph H. Jr. (Jodie) age 67 of Medfield, MA, formerly of Meridian, ID, Marion and Dover, MA died unexpectedly on June 13, 2012.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he graduated from Tabor Academy and The Franklin Institute of Boston with a degree in mechanical engineering. A patent holder and lifelong tinkerer, he could often be found “messing about” with boats, cars, trucks, and tractors. He loved the water and spent many happy hours boating on Buzzards Bay and barefoot waterskiing.
Loving husband of M. Elizabeth Plumb (Mimi Reed) and father of Heather H. McCarthy and her husband, Dr. Brendan E. of Dover, and J. Hudson Plumb IV and his wife, Martha E. of Medfield.
Grandfather of Brendan Jr, Connor, Ryan and Devon McCarthy and Joey, Eric and Audrey Plumb. We’ll miss you “ Papa.” He is also survived by his brother-in-law Philip L. Reed III and his wife Jill of Boise, ID and his sister-in-law Sarah S. Ruscitto and her husband Peter of Norfolk, MA and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law Michael Reed of Pembroke.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at The Dover Church, 17 Springdale Avenue, on Thursday, June 21st at 11:00 A.M. followed by a reception at Kraft Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New England Village, 664 School Street, Pembroke, MA 02359.
