Obituary

Edward L. Moore, Sr., age 98, of Brockton, died June 15, 2012 at St. Joseph Manor following a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Doris C. (Fahey) Moore. Born and raised in Randolph, he was the son of the late John T. and Mary A. (Thoms) Moore. Edward was a veteran of WWII and served in the Army. For many years he had been employed at Fontbonne Academy in Milton and following his retirement he worked for Angelo Supermarket in Whitman. Edward took great pleasure in small projects around the house as well as time with his family. He was an avid traveler, Red Sox fan and longtime member of VFW Post 1046 and Club National.
He is survived by a son Edward L. Moore, Jr., daughter Patricia Spivey both of Brockton, five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Harold, John and Frank Moore, Dorothy Desmond and Sr. Mary Clarona, CSJ.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Sunday 3-7pm. The funeral procession will form at the funeral home on Monday at 9:30am for a funeral mass in Christ the King Parish at 10:30am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Donations in Edward’s name may be made to Sisters of St. Joseph, 637 Cambridge Street, Brighton, MA 02315.
