Worcester--Parance (Atamian) Bohigian, 91, of 11F Goldthwaite Road, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2004, in the Christopher House. Her husband of 49 years, Vasken Bohigian, died in 1990. She leaves 2 sons, Paul C. Bohigian and Jack Bohigian, both of Worcester; 2 sisters, Gladys Bogigian of Franklin and Margaret Proulx of Nashua, NH; and 2 grandchildren, Barry P. Bohigian and Lindsay M. Bohigian, both of Worcester; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Dr. Charles Atamian.
Parance was born in Whitinsville, daughter of Kerob and Sarah (Garabedian) Atamian and resided in this area all of her life. She was a graduate of the Worcester City Hospital School of Nursing and was a licensed Massachusetts R.N. for the former Doctor’s Hospital and various nursing homes. She was a member of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Trinity Church and the ARF. She loved crocheting and Armenian cooking.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 5, in the Armenian Apostolic Holy Trinity Church, 635 Grove Street. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 6 – 8 p.m., Tuesday at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street. A Dahngark Service will be held during the calling hours. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Armenian Apostolic Holy Trinity Church, 635 Grove Street, Worcester, MA 01606.
