Eleanor M. (Jones) Wohl, 68, of New Bedford died Saturday May 1, 2004 at the home of her sister Carol, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born and raised in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Charles H. and Elizabeth M. (Jacques) Jones, she lived in Florida for many years before returning to New Bedford.
Mrs. Wohl was formerly employed as a legal secretary, and later as a legal administrator, for several large law firms in Florida.
While living in Florida, she was an active meber of the Democratic Party.
Survivors include three sisters, Dorothy Coombs, Shirley Medeiros, and Carol Jones, all of New Bedford; and several nieces and nephews, including Christopher Jones and his wife Karen, and Toni Guilbeault and her husband Glen and their daughter, Tori, all of New Bedford.
She was the sister of the late Nancy Pacheco.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday May 5, 2004 at 10 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday May 4, 2004 from 7-9 PM.
