WEBSTER – Stasia (Dawicki) Bardy, 101, formerly of Slater Street, died Wednesday, June 13, 2012 in Lanessa Extended Care after a period of declining health. Her husband, Joseph J. Bardy, died in 1971.
She leaves a brother, Theodore Dawicki and his wife Helen of Webster; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Josephine Burda of Worcester and Frances Szczypien of Webster, and by 2 brothers, Anthony Dawicki of Long Island, NY and Frank J. Dawicki of Webster.
She was born on April 13, 1911 in Dudley, a daughter of Valentine and Justyna (Bobrukiewicz) Dawicki and lived in Webster most of her life. She attended Saint Joseph Elementary School.
She was an assembler at Slater Woolen Mills and then at American Greeting Card Company before she retired. She was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica, and its Holy Rosary Sodality, Sacred Heart Society and Saint Anne Society. She enjoyed crocheting afghans for her many friends.

The funeral will be held Saturday, June 16, at 9:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street (please meet at the church). Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. There are no calling hours. Donations in her name may be made to Saint Joseph School Immediate Needs Fund, 53 Whitcomb Street, Webster, MA 01570. Arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster.
