Larry J. Batten, Sr., age 60, of Douglas, GA passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at home following an extended illness. Mr. Batten was born on August 30, 1951, in Douglas, GA to the late Luther Batten and Mary Ruth Fendly Batten.
Mr. Batten is survived by: his wife, Brenda Adams Batten, of Douglas, GA; one daughter, Stephanie (Robbie) Mancil, of Axson, GA; two sons, Barry (Talena) Spivey, of Willacoochee, GA and Larry (Sarah) Batten, Jr. of Douglas, GA; three brothers, David (Desirae) Batten, of Minnesota, William Batten, of Douglas, GA, and Rusty Batten, of Tampa, FL, five grandchildren, Dylan Spivey, Lyndsey Mancil, Brianna Hearell, Sage Batten, and Jase Batten. Several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 15, 2012 & Saturday, June 16, 2012 from 6-9 pm.
Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at Harvest Time Church of God with Rev. Bobby Pope, Rev. Edison Williams, and Rev. Daniel Eason officiating. Interment followed at Mora Baptist Church Cemetery.
