Jonathan C. Dexter, 44, of Westport formerly of Leominster, MA died unexpectedly, Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at home.
Born in Montclair, NJ, son of the late George O. Dexter, Jr. and the late Ruth-Gloria (Hayman) Dexter, he had lived in Westport for many years. Mr. Dexter attended URI and was employed as the chef at The Barn in Adamsville, RI. He loved music, playing the guitar, cooking, skateboarding, ping pong, fishing and surfing, but most of all he was committed to his family.
Survivors include a brother: George Owen Dexter of Medfield, MA; two sisters: Laurie A. Douglas of Lexington, MA and Susan E. Dexter of Acton, MA; three nieces: Katherine, Kimberly and Molly; and a nephew: George.
The funeral service, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the Westport Point United Methodist Church at 10:30 A.M.
Calling hours Friday 5 – 8 P.M. at the Potter Funeral Home.
Interment will be private.
