Obituary

Joseph J. Duhon, 86, of Westport died Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Claire (Picard) Duhon.

Born in Youngsville, LA, he was son of the late Alcide and Urma (Touchet) Duhon. A veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars, he served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Prior to retirement, he was a Westport Reserve Police Officer. Mr. Duhon attended St. Anthony of the Desert Church, Fall River and was a member of the D.A.V., Westport.

Including his wife, survivors include a son: Paul A. Duhon and his wife Jennifer of Westport; 2 daughters: Randey R. Hart and her husband Johnny Walker of Orlando, FL and Madeleine Duhon of Fall River; 5 grandchildren: Justin & Caleb Hart and Morgan, Grayson & Camden Duhon; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, June 20, 2012 from the Potter Funeral Home at 8:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony of the Desert Church, Fall River at 10:00 A.M.

Calling hours Tuesday 5 – 8 P.M.

Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
