Augusta, GA---Mrs. Martha K. Simmons, 93, entered into rest on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the Augusta Hills Nursing Facility.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Westover Memorial Park with Reverend Mark Maddox and Reverend Stanley Lewis officiating.
Mrs. Simmons was a Licensed Practical Nurse, was retired from the Medical College of Georgia and was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion L. “Abe” Simmons, three sons, Gene Simmons, Jimmy Simmons and Ronald Simmons and four sisters.
Survivors include her son, Marion L. Simmons and companion, Bonnie Fitzgerald of Martinez, GA, sisters, Deloris Early (Joe) of Florida and Nancy Dukes of North Carolina and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren , great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and by a special friend, Truitt Nobles, Sr. of Augusta.
No visitation is scheduled. Those desiring to attend the services are asked to meet at Westover Memorial Park, on Tuesday.
