Louis A. Barber, Jr., 92, of Worcester died Friday, June 8th at home on his birthday. He leaves his wife of 65 years, Marie T. (Johnson) Barber; a daughter, Sheila M. Guillotte and her husband, Mark of Holden; a daughter in law, Donna J. Dalbec of Holden; a sister, Joy Plante of Gilford, NH; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Gary P. Barber, Sr. who died in 1995.
He was born in Worcester the son of Louis A. Barber, Sr. and Jean (Beaudette) Barber. Louis worked for L. Farber Co. of Worcester as a leather foreman for 47 years, retiring in 1985.
His graveside service will be held on Friday, June 15th at 1:00 PM in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to UMASS Memorial Hospice, 650 Lincoln Street, Worcester, MA 01605. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is directing arrangements.
