PARILLA, John A. of Winthrop, passed away in Bedford, NH, on June 1, 2012. He was 82. He was the beloved husband of Helene V. (Grenier) Parilla. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Anthony R. and Emily A. (Marasca) Parilla. Devoted father of John A. Parilla Jr. and his wife Susan of Londonderry, NH. Adored grandfather of Robert and Vincent Parilla. Dear brother of the late Loretta M. Thompson. A Funeral Mass was held in St. John the Evangelist Church on June 6, 2012, at 10am. Cremation was private, with interment at a later date in the Mass. National Cemetery in Bourne. John was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Winthrop Lodge of Elks #1078. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as the Operations Manager at Automatic Fire Alarm Co. in Boston. Funeral arrangements were from the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home 210 Winthrop St. WINTHROP.
