Linda McCurdy Bickford, 61, of Omega died Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2012, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Dr. Danny Ray will officiate with burial to follow in Omega Cemetery. Justin Bickford, Keith Douthit, Danny Hoover, Jessie Harris, Chuck Hopper and Tom Benka will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Lee Bickford, Darren Smith and Sean Watts. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 8, 2012, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Bickford was born on April 6, 1951 in Tifton and was the daughter of Velma Grace Simmons McCurdy Norris of Saint Petersburg, Florida and the late Henry Ford McCurdy. She was a homemaker and a great wife, mother and Nana.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Bickford is survived by her husband, Fred Stanley Bickford of Omega; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Ronald Bickford, Robert and Jenni Bickford and Joey and Brandi Bickford; one daughter, Patricia Wommack; one step-son, Richard Bickford; four brothers, Kenneth McCurdy, Dennis McCurdy, Lonnie McCurdy and Bryan McCurdy; three sisters, Barbara Bailey, Nancy Harwell and Debbie Hall; one sister-in-law, Mary Smith; and four grandchildren, Justin Bickford, Lee Bickford, Brittany Bickford and Cayden Bickford.
