Michael A. “Magee” Petrigno, of Medford, a former resident of Boston’s North End, went home to be with the Lord on June 5th. He was 84.
Mr. Petrigno was born, raised and lived most of his life in the North End. The son of the late Peter and the late Adeline (DeSimone) Petrigno, Michael served with the Army during the Korean War. After his military service Magee went to work at the Boston Housing Authority where he eventually became a supervisor. Devoted to his family and friends, he was a member of the Madonna della Cava Society and was known for his great sense of humor.
The beloved husband of Assunta “Susie”(Oddi) Petrigno, he was a loving father to Adele Petrigno Saunders and her husband Ralph of Chatham, Susan Petrigno O’Connell and her husband Cliff of Dracut, the late Marie Meola and Roy Murray. He was the cherished grandfather of Christopher Saunders, Amanda Blais, Michelle, Melissa Murray and also leaves 8 loving great-grandchildren. The brother of Fred “Freddie” Petrigno of the North End, William “Billy” Petrigno of Medford and Fla., he is predeceased by brothers Justo and Anthony Petrigno.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Saturday, June 9th from 10 AM through 12 noon at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, followed by a service in the funeral home at Noon and burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
