
L. Milton Parrish 64 of Franklin died June 1 in Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston. He was the husband of Roxann (Yates) Parrish.
Born in Bonifay, Florida, August 31, 1947, the son of the late L. Isaiah and Eva (Locke) Parrish, Mr. Parrish was raised in Bonifay and had lived in Wakefield and in New Hampshire prior to moving to Franklin 27 years ago.
He was a graduate of Bonifay High School and a graduate of Lowell Tech with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Mr. Parrish had worked as mechanical engineer for the Polaroid Corporation for 35 years. He had worked for the Digimark Company for 2 years before having to stop working due to his health.
Mr. Parrish battled leukemia for two years. Eight years ago he had a bone marrow transplant which allowed him to live a full life.
He loved to go hunting with his dog and to go trap shooting with his son and his friends.
Milton loved to cook for his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Justin Parrish and his wife Elena of Santa Cruz, California.
He is also survived by is niece Brenda Turlick of Franklin, his great-niece Stefanie Turlick and Edgar Valladares of Framingham, his nephew Jonathan Turlick of Franklin, his nephew Kenneth and Michael of Florida and many cousins.
His memorial service will on Wednesday June 13, in the New England Chapel, 40 Kenwood Circle, Franklin at 1:30. A reception will follow.
