William (Bill) Butler Duncan, 83, of Clarksville, TN, died on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Signature Healthcare of Clarksville. He was born on August 21, 1928 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late William B. Duncan and Lula Butler Duncan. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Weems Duncan; a son, Buddy Duncan; and a sister, Betty Ann Gilbert.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 11 AM at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Steve Lannom officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 from 4-7 PM and Thursday, June 7, 2012 from 9 AM until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Bill was retired from the FAA. He was also a member of Queen City Masonic Lodge #761 and the Montgomery County Pond Society.
He is survived by his daughter, Nan (Mike) Connell of Clarksville, TN; three sisters, Catherine Felder of Huntsville, AL, Carolyn Lott of Birmingham, AL, and Frances Cheatham of Austin, TX; two grandchildren, Kelly (Scott) Mullins of Cumberland Furnace, TN and Jared (Amanda) Connell of Salisbury, NC; and four great grandchildren, Austin Mullins, Jackson Mullins, Cale Connell, and Brynn Connell.
Pallbearers will be Mike Connell, Jared Connell, Scott Mullins, Dale Simms, Earl Parrish, Guy Morton, and Sam Podurgal.
