Jerry Juan Day, age 78, of Douglas, GA passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2012, at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mr. Day was born on September 14, 1933, in Ambrose, GA to the late James Day, Sr. and Geanie Jowers Day.
Survivors include: his wife, Rachael Carver Day, of Douglas, GA; three daughters, Jan Day Googe, Joan Day Williams, both of Douglas, GA, and Geanie Juan Day, of Nahunta, GA; one son, Jerry Grant Day, of Pridgen, GA; four step daughters, Tina Whidden, of Broxton, GA, Bonnie Warren, of Alma, GA, Gail Smith, of Valdosta, GA, and Jacqueline Vickers, of Douglas, GA; two step sons, Ron Hamilton, of Millwood, GA and Don Hamilton, of Douglas, GA; one sister, Geraldine Moore, of Douglas, GA and one brother, James Day, Jr., of Douglas, GA; twenty-five grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Tullie Day and Elmer Day and one sister, Floye Grace Vickers.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 4, 2012 form 6-9 pm.
Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethany Holiness Baptist Church with Rev. Kenneth Matthews officiating. Interment followed at the Bethany Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery.
