Grace H. Rowe, 86, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, April 27, 2004, at Fitzgerald Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M., Thursday, April 29, 2004, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald, Georgia, with Dr. Lloyd Stembridge and Rev. Stephen Webb officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7:00 until 9:00, Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Rowe was born December 1, 1917, in Brooks County, Georgia, to the late William Lee and Beulah Wingate Ingram. She was a graduate of Reinhart College and Georgia State College for Women. She was a retired 4th grade school teacher, having taught in Fitzgerald, Ocilla, Adel and Moultrie, where she was awarded Teacher of the Year in 1975. Mrs. Rowe was a member of Arbor Baptist Church.
Mrs. Rowe is survived by her children: Jerry (Sandra) Rowe, Dawson, GA; Ronnie (Kaye) Rowe, Macon and Karen R. (Jim) Clark, Fitzgerald; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; brother: H.B. Ingram, Americus, GA; sisters: Hazel Larson, Beaverton, OR; Martha Miller, Seattle, WA; Ruby Wedell, San Luis Obispo, CA; Betty Graves, Granada Hills, CA; Ethel Robb, Dalton, GA; Anne Elliott, Tampa, FL and Jane King, Enterprise, AL; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cramer Allen Rowe and one brother, Jack Ingram.
