Geraldine M. (Leahy) Donovan, died Monday at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She was 61.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Paul and the late Marion (Smith) Leahy. Geraldine was a lifelong Medford resident. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother.
She was the beloved companion of the late Warren Zaniboni. She was a devoted mother to Donna McDonough and her husband Tim, Justine Zaniboni all of South Boston, Deanna Zaniboni of Everett, Peter Zaniboni and his wife Staci of Winchester and the late Jennifer Zaniboni. Geraldine was a loving grandmother to Susan, Timmy, Steven, Jennifer, Ryan, Rachael, Sara, Drea and a loving great grandmother of Jake. She leaves her dear friends Beverly and Frank Gillis of Woburn, Sisters Dorothy Kosek of OH, Eileen Rienald of Medford, Patricia Quinlan of FL and late brothers Paul and James Leahy.
A Funeral Mass will be said at 9 AM, Friday in St. Clement Church, Medford. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Friends may call Thursday from 4 – 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home.
