Carmine J. Storella, Sr. of Medford died Tuesday after a long illness in the Courtyard Nursing Care Center, Medford, MA.
Born in Boston, he lived in Medford since 1964 and formerly of the North End of Boston. He was the son of the late and the late Margherita (Zodda) and Giovanni Storella. Carmine was a Maintenance worker at the South Postal Annex for 20 years and retired in 1981. He served during World War II in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945.
Beloved husband of Teresa (Ficociello) Storella. Devoted father of Carmine Storella Jr. and his wife Irene of Pittsburgh, PA, Paul Storella and his wife Maura of Syosset, NY, Stephen Storella and his fiancé Donna of Medford. Loving grandfather of Rebecca Storella of Syosset, NY. Brother of the late Yolanda Dellatto, Lucy Bevilacqua, Carmella, Alfonso, Anthony, Ciriaco and Alfred Storella.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Saturday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4-8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
