MURRAY, Collin C.- Of Malden, May 24th. Devoted husband of the late Sheila (Geller). Beloved father of Collin J. Murray and his wife Kelly of Lynnfield, Laura Fusco and her husband Thomas of Reading, Kathryn Murray and her fiance Michael Glowacki of Gloucester, Christine Smallenberger and her husband Mark of Lynnfield and Jennifer Nelson and her husband Drew of Amhearst, NH. Loving brother of Ann Petitti of Dracut and the late Ruby McPherson and Barbara Misuraca. Cherished grandfaher of Jacqueline and Collin Murray, Shaina, Aaron and Cole Fusco, Brianna Glowacki, Madison, Lucas and Savannah Smallenberger and Evan Nelson. Also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Carroll Funeral Home, 721 Salem Street, (Maplewood Square) MALDEN on Thursday, May 31st at 10 AM followed by a Funeral Service held in the Mystic Side Congregational Church, 422 Main St., Everett at 11 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Carroll Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Collin's name may be made to a charity of your choice.
Born in Boston and residing in Everett until he served in the United States Navy and shortly after his return, Collin passed away at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston after a brief illness at the age of 68.
Moving to Malden in September 1971, he was employed as a communication technician for over 45 years, first with New England Telephone and later with AT&T and retiring from MIT in October 2001.
A devoted family man who provided the utmost care for numerous years to his beloved wife Sheila until her passing, Collin, with a strong faith, positive attitude and great sense of humor cherished mostly his children and grandchildren and was referred to as amazing. In his spare time, he liked to travel, was intrigued with British mysteries and geneology.
