Torsten A. Carlson, 86, passed away Friday, May 25, 2012. His wife of 58 years, G. Joann (Swenson) Carlson, died in 2010. He leaves three children, David A. Carlson and his wife Colleen of Princeton, Donald A. Carlson and his wife Marianne of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Claudia A. (Carlson) Eddy and her husband David of Holden; eight grandchildren, Justin, Nicolette, Zachary, Brienna, Erik, Kirsten, Erikka, and Alicia; and two great-grandchildren, Bryleigh and Lilah. He was predeceased by infant twin brothers and his brother Kenneth Carlson.
Torsten was born in Hoganas, Sweden, son of Dagmar G. (Hultberg) and Hugo W. Carlson. His family immigrated to Worcester when he was 3 years old. He was a graduate of Commerce High School and Clark University. Torsten was an Army Air Corps veteran of WWII. He was the Manager of Computer Services for Norton Company, retiring in 1982 after 33 years of service. He was also a member of the Belmont Social Club and F.I.S.H.
