Funeral Service in the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 11 am. Burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, N. Easton. Visiting hours Wednesday 6-8 pm.
Obituary
Mrs. Silva died Sunday evening at the Island Terrace Nursing Home in Lakeville after a period of failing health. She was born and raised in Brockton a daughter of the late Ira J. and Helen L. (Corcoran) Dumas. For the past nine years she had made her home with her daughter in Middleboro and previously lived in Bridgewater and Stoughton.
Mrs. Silva was a homemaker who stayed home to raise her family. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting and listening to country music.
She was the wife of the late Francis V. Silva and loving mother of Francine M. Darling of Middleboro, Daniel F. Silva of Raynham, Dwight T. Burns of Holbrook, Rosemary A. Arruda of E. Bridgewater, Judith Strait of Oregon and Joan Coen of Georgia.
She also leaves 4 generations of many grandchildrenShe was the sister of Pearl Santilli of FloridaShe also leaves many nieces and nephews
She was the sister of the late Raymond, Clifford and Owen Dumas and Helen Lucas and Marie Mantell.
