New Bedford – Jeremias Cabral, age 63 years, died Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband Eduarda (Maiato) Cabral. Mr. Cabral was the beloved father of Kenneth Michael Cabral of Fall River, Jerry Cabral and Bobby Arnold Cabral both of Dartmouth. Jeremias was the brother of Daniel Cabral, Albert Cabral, Duarte Cabral, Maria doCarmo Cabral, Maria daCeu Cabral and Eliza Tavares. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Marissa, Korynne, Mya, Jeremias, Devin and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Cabral was a son of Maria Lauriana (Medeiros) Cabral of Portugal and the late Emanuel Cabral. He was born in St. Michael, Azores, Portugal and has lived in this area since 1972. Jeremias served with the Portuguese Army for three years. Mr. Cabral was employed as an inspector at the former Quaker Fabric and previously work at Berkshire Hathaway.
Mr. Cabral’s funeral will be Saturday at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 8 A.M. with a service in the funeral home 9 A.M. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday evening from 6 - 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
