Josephine T. (Pacek) Burns, 94, of Worcester died Wednesday, May 23 at home surrounded by her family. Her husband of 49 years, Robert M. Burns died in 1986. She leaves two daughters, Joan C. Murphy and her husband, James A. of Charlestown, RI and Ruth M. Fassett and her husband, William L. of Worcester; a sister, Nellie Orne of Shrewsbury; 7 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Benjamin Pacek; a sister, Annie Pacek and a sister in law, June David.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Joseph and Theresa (Lejeryk) Pacek. Josephine worked at Robinson Thread Company as a thread winder for 42 years, retiring in 1983. She loved crocheting and spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Burns was a member of the former St. Charles Borromeo Church.
Her funeral Mass celebrating her life will be held on Friday, May 25th at 10:00 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant Street. There are no calling hours at Josephine’s request.
