BRIDGEWATER - Margaret Anne “Peggy” (McHugh) Barents, 56, of Bridgewater died unexpectedly Friday, April 23, 2004, at her home. She was the wife of Bruce D. Barents.
Born, raised and educated in Kingston, N.Y., she was a daughter of Lawrence and Mary M. (Brouck) McHugh of Tampa, Fla.
Mrs. Barents was retired from the Flatley Co. of Braintree, where she had worked as an accounts receivable supervisor for 22 years.
She enjoyed bowling and was a former member of Kingston Women’s Bowling League.
Mrs. Barents also enjoyed cooking, gardening and her only grandson, Matthew.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by a daughter, Ann Marie Lewis of Bridgewater; a son, Brian Barents of Holliston; four sisters, Kristine Bechtold and Deborah Holland, both of Kingston, N. Y., Laurie Sauceda of Tampa, Fla., and Patricia Doster of Griffin, Ga.; two brothers, Joseph McHugh of Tampa, Fla., and Gregory McHugh of Florida; a grandson, Matthew Lewis of Bridgewater and several aunts and uncles and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be at 8 a.m. Wednesday from the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, followed by a funeral Mass at 9 in St. Thomas Aquinas Church.
Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 p.m. Burial will be in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery.
