TEWKSBURY - Audrey K. (Dingwell) Ballway, age 79, a former administrator at Tewksbury Hospital, died Sunday morning, May 20, at the Wilmington Health Care Center, after a long period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph P. Ballway, who died in 1975.
She was born in Lynn, February 6, 1933, the daughter of Edward and Florence (Mobbs) Dingwell. She retired from the Tewksbury Hospital, where she had served as the Personnel Director at the time of her retirement.
She is survived by three sons and their spouses, Roger Ballway and his wife Cheryl of Wichita, Kansas, Steven Ballway of Tewksbury, and Edward Ballway and his wife Diane of Wilmington; a brother and sister-in-law, Weldon Dingwell and his wife Ann of Wolfboro, NH; six grandchildren, Michael, Joseph, Mary, Meghan, Matthew Ballway and Jessica Ballway-Smith; and several great grandchildren.
She was also mother of the late Paul Ballway
Her funeral service was held Wednesday, May 23, in the Funeral Home, followed by burial at St. Mary Cemetery, No. Tewksbury. Memorials to the Tewksbury Hospital, Patient Activities Fund, c/o Administration, 365 East St., Tewksbury, MA 01876 will be appreciated.
