Obituary

James Dager, a life-long resident of West Roxbury, passed away on May 17, 2012. He was 82 years old.
James was an avid golfer who worked for many years as a mechanic for James Devaney Fuel. Prior to his years at Devaney, James made shoes for the Dory Shoe Co. of Lynn. He enjoyed trips to the dog track and to Twin River in RI and worked for many years as a bartender at the Jacob Jones V.F.W. Post in Dedham. James served as a member of the US Navy Reserves.

James was the loving father of James D. Dager of Dedham. Dear and devoted companion of over 30 years of Joyce Rich of West Roxbury. Dear brother of Yvonne Hampl and her husband Louis of Norwood, and the late Ernest and Nicholas Dager. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

James' Funeral Service was held May 23, 2012 at the Annunciation Melkite Cathedral, 7 VFW Parkway, West Roxbury.

Contributions in James’ memory may be made to the Cathedral or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Boston.
