Obituary

Inocencia Montanez age 79, of Brockton died Thursday May 17, 2012 at the Signature Healthcare/Brockton Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Hermogenes Vasquez. Inocencia was born and raised in Caguas, Puerto Rico and had lived in Brockton for over 40 years.

After raising her family, Inocencia worked for several years at Franklin Sporting Goods in Stoughton. She enjoyed trips to casinos and loved slot machines and playing bingo. She will be remembered as a firm but loving woman whose true joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Inocencia leaves ten children Migdalia, Margarita, Mary Lou, Madeline, Hermogenes, Jr., Wilfredo, Jose Manuel, Abraham, Daniel and Rebecca, 29 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was the sister of Mary Lou, Maria, Santa, Hector, George, Carlos and the late Ipolito and leaves many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Sunday 3-7 pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home on Monday at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church at 9 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
