Mrs. Eleanor M. Bonanno, 85 of Somerville formerly of Charlestown died on Thursday in Lawrence General Hospital following a brief illness. She is the beloved wife of the late Domenic Bonanno. Born in Boston, daughter of the late Louis and Angelina Rosetti, she was raised in Charlestown and attended local schools. A Somerville resident for most of her life, she had worked in the former Schrafft’s Chocolate Company at Sullivan Square in Charlestown as a Fancy Candy Packer. She was a quiet and demure woman with simple pleasures. She enjoyed shopping, family gatherings and occasional travel. She is the beloved sister of Mary Rossetti, Michael Rossetti and Josephine Defino all of Somerville, Rose Brooks and her husband Lloyd of Wilmington, Ralph Rossetti and his wife Mary of Stoneham, James Rossetti and his wife Lorraine of Woburn and the late John Rossetti. Loving aunt of several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be celebrated in the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Tuesday at 11:00 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
