Mary “Marcy” Elizabeth Weimer Genard Smith, 74, of Enigma died Monday, May 14, 2012, at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, in Tift Memorial Gardens. Rev. Ronnie Vice will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. At 7:30 p.m. during the visitation, a Remembrance Service will be held in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Smith was born on October 11, 1937 in Connersville, Pennsylvania and was the daughter of Abram Lee Weimer, Sr. and Hilda Myers Weimer, both deceased. She was the owner of the Nail Palace in Tifton and was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Tifton.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, George C. Smith, Jr. of Enigma; one daughter, Deborah Genard of Atlanta; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Deborah Genard of Midway; Scott and Ginger Huff of Hollywood, Maryland; step-children, Delores and Ronnie Thomley, Debra and Harry Smith and Curtis Smith, all of Tampa, Florida; six grandchildren, Caleb, Elizabeth and Daniel Genard; Alyssa, Heather and Skyler Huff; several step-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Charles Pugh of Chester, West Virginia; brother and sister-in-law, Lee and Lorraine Weimer, Jr. of Tempe, Arizona; brother-in-law and his wife, James Clifford and Sandra Smith of Palatka, Florida; sister-in-law, G. Kaye Lucas of Enigma; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
