Elizabeth Anne (Drinkwater) “ Annie” of Newton died suddenly Friday April 23rd at the Newton Wellesley Hospital at the age of 69. Born in Boston Mrs. Driscoll had been a resident of Newton for over 40 years. She was a past Commander of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary # 2498 in Needham and was active in the Patriots Trail Girl Scouts Council of Waltham. For many years Annie was a pre-school assistant in Needham and a also worked in health care in the Newton area. Annie was the beloved wife of the late Wallace Driscoll. Sister in law of Walter J. Driscoll Sr., Martha Giorgio both of Newton, Barbara Wilkenson, Richard Driscoll both of Oklahoma and the late Lawrence Driscoll. Aunt of Walter J. Driscoll Jr. of Newton, Sharon O’Brien, Terry Morales both of Needham, David J. Driscoll of Peabody , Mark S. Driscoll of Needham the late Alan T. Driscoll and Lawrence and Kathleen Giorgio both of Needham. Also survived by many great nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Wednesday April 28th at 9:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church Newton Centre at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours Tuesday 7-9 PM. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery in West Roxbury.
