Mrs. Santosh Chauhan, age 78, (August 15, 1933 – May 10, 2012) born and brought up in India and a longtime resident of Natick, died of a massive heart attack on May 10, 2012, at MetroWest Medical Center in Natick. She was the devoted wife of the late Shri Krishan Chander Chauhan.
Born in Lahore, India, she was the daughter of the late Shanti Devi and Shri Buta Ram Verma. She married Mr. Chauhan and settled in New Delhi where she lovingly raised five children. She was very proud of her growing family and enjoyed spending time with her nine grandchildren. She was an example of devotion, sacrifice, and strength to her children.
Also predeceased by her granddaughter Ayesha, she is survived by her sons, Dharminder Chauhan and wife Reetu of Natick, and Kamal Chauhan and wife Sunaina of Natick; three daughters, Neeru Singh and husband Deviender Singh of Chicago, IL, Nutan Babbar and husband Dharampal Babbar of Chicago, IL, and Neelu Kharbanda and husband Surender of Natick; her grandchildren, Divya Babbar, Puneet Singh and Priya Singh, Akriti Kharbanda, Bhavya Chauhan, Roshini Babbar, Anshul Kharbanda, Krishan Chauhan, and Khushi Chauhan; and many relatives and friends in India.
Her funeral service will be held in the Bigelow Chapel, Mount Auburn Cemetery, 580 Mount Auburn Street, Cambridge, on Monday, May 14th at 10:00a.m. Cremation will follow the service.
Visiting hours will be at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, Natick, on Saturday, 12:00 – 2:00p.m.
