CHICOPEE – Nancy M. Marsh, 48, of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Thursday, May 10, 2012. She passed into Eternal Life at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Springfield on January 9, 1964, a beloved daughter of Harris A. Marsh, Jr. and the late Barbara A. (Wapner) Marsh. She was raised on Tacoma Street in the Hungry Hill section of Springfield, graduated from Classical High School and later attended Springfield Technical Community College. She lived in the city for many years before moving to Chicopee around 1997. She was employed for 26 years at the Wall Street Journal in Chicopee. She leaves: her loving father, Harris A. Marsh, Jr. and his companion, Bernice Hassler of Barefoot Bay, FL; her loving sisters and brothers, Linda Patingre and her husband, Edward, of Springfield, Carol Garvey and her husband, Pat, of Germantown, MD, Richard Marsh of Northampton and Thomas Marsh and his wife, Joan, of Enfield, CT; her seven cherished nephews and nieces, Brian Patingre, Karin Hickman, Brendan and Owen Garvey, Diana Marsh and Danny and Hannah Marsh; her two cherished grandnephews, Tyler and Trevor Hickman; her lifelong companion, Carl Lauziere, of Chicopee; and her beloved dog and faithful companion, “Chewy”.
