Freddie B. ‘Uncle Fred’ Stewart, 77, of Charlton passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012 in his home.
He leaves his wife of 43 years, Denise I. (Girouard) Stewart who he still referred to as his beautiful bride. He also leaves 3 sons, Freddie B. Jr. of Holden, Wesley A. of Oregon, Timothy J. of Texas, a daughter Jennifer J. wife of Paul McKinstry of Charlton, one sister Anne McKinney of KY., 6 grandchildren; Tucker, Jesslyn , Jacob, Christopher, Brianna and Cole and 2 great grandchildren.
Freddie was born in Gran Quivera, New Mexico, son of Lawrence W. and Iva D. (Russell) Stewart, although he travelled extensively, professionally Charlton has been his home for many years.
He worked as an engineer most of his life, but was best known for his incredibly powerful voice which many were lucky enough to enjoy.
He served in the Korean War with the U.S. Army from 1956-1961. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten by those closest to him.
Calling Hours will be Sunday, May 13, 2012 from 6-8 PM at the Robert J. Miller-Charlton Funeral Home, 175 Old Worcester Rd.
Funeral Services will be Private. Burial will be in West Ridge Cemetery.
