Steve William Stafford, age 53, of Westerly passed away peacefully Saturday morning at Rhode Island Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born in Westerly on January 30, 1959 the son of Bessie (Smith) Stafford of Mystic and the late Gordon W. Stafford. He attended local schools.
At the time of his passing, he was employed in the newspaper delivery business with routes covering southern Rhode Island.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his long-time girlfriend, Kimberly Harrington; his children, Justin, Joseph, and Jennifer Harrington, all of Westerly; a granddaughter, Cameron Trombino; three brothers and their spouses, Scott (Kim) Stafford of Wakefield, RI, Brian (Jeannie) Stafford of No. Stonington, Gordon W. Stafford Jr., and Linda Marie Stafford.
A Memorial service will be conducted at the Old Mystic Methodist Church, Rte. 27, Old Mystic on Thursday at 5pm. Relatives and friends are invite to attend.
