James J. Sheridan, 94, of Londonderry, NH died Wednesday May 2, 2012 at his home. Mr. Sheridan was born in Brighton, MA on January 4, 1918, a son of the late Frank and Margaret Sheridan. He was a US Army veteran having served during WWII. Mr. Sheridan was employed as a groomer at Rockingham Park in Salem.
He is survived by his grandniece, Terri Cullen of Londonderry, two great-grandnieces, Christina and Melanie Cullen, one great-grandnephew, Scott Cullen, one great great-grandniece, Hilarie Cullen, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters and brothers, Marie Sheridan, Francis Sheridan, John Sheridan, Margaret Sheridan Sennott, Helen Sheridan Sennott, and Esther Sheridan Mazzas.
There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday May 8, 2012 at 10:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry. Burial with military honors will take place on Tuesday at 12:00pm at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701-9376.
