Margaret E. ( Clifford ) Martin, a longtime resident of Stoughton, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday April 25, 2012 at the Blue Hills Nursing and Alzheimers Care Center in Stoughton. She was 85 years old and the beloved wife of the late Barry W. Martin.She is survived by her children, Carol Hill of Epping,NH, Barbara Slauenwhite of Brockton, Richard W. Martin and his wife Debbie of Norton, David Martin and his wife Gail of Sharon and Henry Martin and his wife Debbie also of Brockton. Other survivers include her brother Ashley C. Clifford Jr. of Bradford,Vermont,10 grandchildren and 12 Great- grandchildren.
Born February 4, 1927 in Albany, Vermont she was a daughter to the late Ashley C. and Edna (Simmons) Clifford. Margaret was a very active member of the First United Methodist Church of Stoughton.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday May 5, 2012 at 9:30 A.M. from the First United Methodist Church, 109 Pleasant Street, (Rt. 139) Stoughton.The Pastor Rev. Rebecca L. Cho, officiating. Burial will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.Visiting hours have been omitted.
