WORCESTER-Kathleen A. (Murphy) Convery, of 33 Utica Drive died Friday, February 22nd in her home. Her husband of 41 years Henry F. Convery died in 1995. She leaves her daughter Christine L. Donohue of Worcester, a brother James F. Murphy of South Dennis, 2 sisters Mary E. Riordan of Auburn and Sheila C. Daw of Holden, 4 grandchildren Erin K., Kelly C., Meghan E. and Kevin C. Donahue all of Worcester. Her son Henry F. Convery, Jr. of Worcester died in 1963.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of James F. and Julia (Hardiman) Murphy. She was a graduate of St. Peter’s High School and attended the Ward Business School and Clark University. Mrs. Convery was a life long member of Our Lady of the Angels Parish, and many woman’s professional organizations. She retired in 1998 from Becker College where she had been administrator of the Continuing Education Department, and later served as program director for Centro Las America’s. Mrs. Convery had at one time been personnel director for Jordan Marsh in Worcester.
The funeral will be Tuesday February 26th from O’Connor Brother’s Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Out Lady of The Angles Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday February 24th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
