Darrell R. McDonald, 62, of Fitzgerald, died Saturday, April 28, 2012.
Graveside services will be held at 5 P.M., Monday, April 30, in the Revis McDonald Cemetery with Elder Ed McIntyre and Rev. Chris Merritt officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. McDonald was born April 28, 1950 in Fitzgerald to Elrea McDonald Soles and the late Jap Revis McDonald. He was a 1969 graduate of Fitzgerald High School and studied agriculture at ABAC. Mr. McDonald served in the National Guard. He was a former salesman for Southern Distributing and operated a plant nursery. He was of the Catholic faith.
He is survived by his children: Ryan & Leslie McDonald, Tyler McDonald, Sydney McDonald, and Abby McDonald, all of Fitzgerald; his mother: Elrea McDonald Soles of Fitzgerald; sister: Shellah McDonald of Fitzgerald; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Greg & Carol McDonald, John McDonald, and Tim & Denise McDonald, all of Fitzgerald; as well as several nieces and nephews.
