Miss Marilyn A. McNamara of North Billerica, formerly of Medford and Boston’s West End died on Thursday in Saints Memorial Hospital in Lowell following a lengthy illness. Born in Springfield, daughter of the late William and Mary (Farrell) McNamara, she was raised in the West End and attended St. Joseph’s school. She worked as a mail sorter for the U.S. Postal Service in the South Postal Annex for more than 20 years. She retired in 1989. Miss McNamara enjoyed the company of her sisters and their families. She watched with pride, the accomplishments of her nieces and nephews and grand nephews. She is the dear sister of Joan Hogan and her husband Bob of Halifax, Regina “Jean” Connor and her husband Mickey of Billerica and the late James McNamara. Loving aunt of Michael Connor and his wife Tracy, Kelly McGowan and her husband Shawn, Melissa Gilreath and her husband Craig. Beloved great aunt of Jack, Tyler, Owen, Aiden and Benjamin. Funeral from the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 306 Main ST. MEDFORD on Monday at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street Malden at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
