Vito A. Sciretta 87, of Natick, surrounded his loving family, died Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at his home.
He was the beloved husband of the late Florence (Servello) Sciretta who died in 2009 and with whom he shared 60 years of marriage.
Born in Natick and a lifelong resident he was the son of the late Nicola and Teresa (Palladino) Sciretta.
Mr. Sciretta was the proprietor of Town Line Liquors of Natick from 1967 until retiring in 2004.
He previously was a foreman at the Wellesley Press for 20 years.
Mr. Sciretta enjoyed gardening, was avid sports fan, played golf for many years, and loved the summers at his cottage on Cape Cod. He attended the Natick School system and graduated from Natick High School class of 1942.
He was devoted to his family and especially appreciated the time spent with his grandchildren.
Mr. Sciretta was a member of the Natick Elks, former member of the Sons of Italy Club of Natick, the Italian American Citizens Club of Natick, and the Natick Rotary Club.
He is survived by his devoted three children, Marie C. Sciretta of Natick, John N. Sciretta and his wife Sally and their son Nicholas J. Sciretta of Newton, Michael R. Sciretta and his wife Marylynn and their sons Richard V. Sciretta, Phillip R. Sciretta of Duxbury.
He was also the brother of the late Rita Dellegatto.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Monday April 30 at 9:00 A.M. from the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street, at Natick Common, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Patrick’s Church at 10:00A.M.
Visiting hours are Sunday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
Interment St Patrick Cemetery.
