
Jeannette A. (Beaulieu) Hamel, 94, of Methuen died Wednesday at Nevens Nursing and Restorative Center. Daughter of the Late Joseph and Claudia (Gagne) Beaulieu, Mrs Hamel was born in Lawrence and she had been an area resident all her life. Mrs. Hamel worked at U.S. Bobbin and Shuttle Company, and retired from the Cafeteria at the Methuen Tenney Middle School. Mrs. Hamel loved spending time with her family, sewing, and doing crossword puzzles. She was very proud of the doll clothes that she made and donated to church raffles. The widow of Phillip L. Hamel she is survived by three daughters, Gloria J. And her husband James Miner of Methuen, Claire C. And her husband John Waterworth of Dracut, and Suzanne M. Clark of Bedford, MA. Three sons, Richard P. Hamel and his wife Andrea of Salem, NH, Leo O. Hamel of Methuen, and Gerard F. Hamel and his wife Janet of Methuen. Mrs Hamel has 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grand children and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Plonowski Funeral Home, 180 Jackson Street, Lawrence. A Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 9:00 am at St. Monica Church burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. The arrangements are under the direction of Edgar J. Racicot Inc.
