LEE EVERETTE COOKE, 92, of Louisville passed away Wednesday April 25, 2012 at the Baptist Hospital East.
He was a retired credit manager in the Agriculture Division of U. S. Steel, a member of the Western Ky. Alumni Assoc., attended Faith Chapel General Baptist Church, and was an Army veteran of WW II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shelley Cooke, twin brother, Elmer Cooke; and brothers Robert and Bennett Cooke; a sister Kathleen Blanton.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Ruth Vincent Cooke; daughters, Sharon Cooke (Cheryl), Sondra Lea Daugherty (Bob), and Joyce O’Dell (Lavon); grandchildren, Kristi Mingus (Mike), Renee Rhodes (Chris), Lavon O’Dell, Jr. (Linda), Ronnie O’Dell (Dawn), Hayley Sommer and Courtney Pelz; great grandchildren,Jordan Durall, Cole Mingus, Paige Rhodes, Ben O’Dell, and Willie O’Dell; and his sister, Ginny Rose Crump.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. with burial in the Brownsville Cemetery, Brownsville, KY. Visitation will be from 5 – 8 p.m. Thursday.
