Obituary

LEICESTER: William C. Burnham 74, of 23 Edward St., Leicester, Ma.,died Tuesday, April 24 in UMASS Memorial Hospital in Worcester.

He leaves his wife of 49 years, Sandra F. (Poland) Burnham, his daughters Tracy L. Burnham of York, Me., and Debra L. Clifford and her husband Paul of W.Boylston, Ma., his sister Pauline Racine of No. Brookfield, two grand children; Ryan and Stephanie, several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a sister Jean Ledoux.

Born in Worcester, he was the son of Charles P. and Evelyn L. (Gallant) Burnham and lived in E.Brookfield for many years before moving to York, Me. in 1992 and then returning to Leicester in 2007. He served his country with the U.S. Navy in the late 1950’s.

Billy, worked at Norton Co. in Worcester for 29 years, retiring in 1994. He graduated from David Prouty High School in Spencer in 1956. He was a former member of Christ Memorial Church in No.Brookfield.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 28 at 11 a.m. in Christ Memorial Church, Main St., No. Brookfield. There are no calling hours.
