McDonald Anne Of Wellesley and West Hyannisport, passed away peacefully on Monday evening April, 23 2012 following a brief illness at the age of 89.
Born on March 21, 1923 in the Brighton section of Boston; daughter of late John J. Flynn and Margaret M. (O'Connell) Flynn, Anne Marie was a resident of Wellesley and West Hyannisport most of her life.
A graduate of the Boston City Hospital School of Nursing, she worked as a nurse for many years at many locations including, Boston City Hospital, Glover Memorial Hospital and the Huntington, NY school system. A volunteer to many organizations, she was a member of the Wellesley Garden Club, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Brighton, MA Knights of Columbus, the Hyannisport Club, the Wellesley Postcomer’s Club, and served as a Eucharistic Minister at St Paul’s Church. She was devoted to her family and in her spare time she enjoyed playing bridge and golfing.
She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph P. McDonald, Grandmother of the late Kristin L. McDonald, and dear sister of the late Sister Elinor Rose, SND, Edmund Flynn, Katherine Nichols, John Flynn, and Mary (Rita) Flynn.
She is survived by her loving children Joseph P. McDonald, Jr. and his wife Stacie of Framingham, John R. McDonald and his wife Amy of Southborough, Kevin M. McDonald and his wife Colleen of Natick, and Suzanne McDonald of Framingham, her cherished grandchildren, Lauren McDonald of Natick, JP and Michael McDonald of Framingham, Heather and Jack McDonald of Southborough, and Trevor McDonald of Natick and her devoted sister Peggy Miller of Englewood, FL. In addition she is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
