BEVERLY: Robert J. Macdonald, 50, died unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, April 18, 2012.
Born in Beverly on April 16, 1962, he was the son of Barbara E. (Egan) Macdonald of Beverly and the late James J. Macdonald. He was a lifelong resident of Beverly and a graduate of Beverly High School.
Bob was a self employed contractor. He had also once worked as a carpenter for the former Sterling Modernizing Company for several years.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sisters, Barbara Mercier of Concord, NH and Alice Gaudenzi and her husband, Vincent of Wenham; a brother, Michael Macdonald and his wife, Janet (Tarricone) of Beverly and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth Hyland and a brother-in-law, John Mercier.
His funeral service was privately held on Tuesday. Expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Beverly Bootstraps, 371 Cabot St., Beverly, MA 01915.
