John Michael St. Laurent, 64, of Salem, New Hampshire, died unexpectedly at home Sunday April 22, 2012.
Michael, son of the late Oliver and Eileen (Keegan) St. Laurent, was born in Lawrence on January 10, 1948 and lived in Methuen for many years before moving to Salem. He graduated from Methuen High School class of 1965 and later studied at the Greater Lawrence Vocational Technical School. Michael worked as a Draftsman for the Lockheed Co. for many years and later was employed with the A.W. Chesterton Co. in Groveland.
Michael was an enthusiastic fan of the Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins and the New England Patriots, he enjoyed playing BINGO, bowling, fishing and playing golf and was very proud of his two hole in ones. Michael was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks, Lodge # 2226 in Salem.
Michael will be sadly missed by his daughter, Rachele D. Burkett and her husband Michael; his grandsons, Hunter and Matthew Burkett; his siblings, Paul and his wife Rita, James and his wife Claudette, Mary Whittaker and her husband Michael, Joanne St. Laurent, David and his wife Karen, Judith Murphy and her husband Brian, Kevin and his wife Lisa and Eileen LaBrecque and many nephews and nieces.

Family and friends are planning to honor and celebrate Michael’s life by gathering for his funeral service in the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen on Friday, April 27, 2012 at 11:30 AM. Rev. Christopher Casey will officiate. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends and family will be warmly received at the funeral home from 4 – 8 PM on Thursday, April 26, 2012.
