BRIDGEWATER - Renaldo R. “Tack” Cassani, 81, of Bridgewater died Saturday at the Tower Hill Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Canton after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Beatrice T. (Rebello) Cassani.
Born, raised and educated in Bridgewater, he was a son of the late James and Rita (Cavicchi) Cassani.
He was a lifelong resident of Bridgewater and graduated from Bridgewater schools.
Mr. Cassani was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He retired from the Carver Cotton Gin in East Bridgewater, where he worked for 44 years as a tool maker.
Mr. Cassani was a member of the Lincoln A.A. Club, 49ers Club and Vets Club, all in Bridgewater.
He enjoyed Playing bocce, golf and an avid outdoorsman.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Susan Snyderman of North Easton; a sister, Mary Costa of Middleboro; two grandchildren, Lisa Caledonia of Dighton and William Hannigan of Bridgewater; a great-granddaughter, Seina Caledonia of Dighton and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by seven siblings.
His funeral will be at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday from the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, followed by a funeral Mass at 9 in St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Burial will be in the St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery.
