Obituary

Lawrence, Ma. – Carol A. (Dubois) Beliveau, of Lawrence, MA died at the Lawrence General Hospital on Saturday, April 21, 2012 after a long illness, surrounded by her family and friends.

Born in Lawrence on July 12, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Russell Dubois and Rita (Lacroix, Dubois) Marselis.

Carol attended St. Mary’s High School and graduated from Philadelphia High School.

She worked at Western Electric, Raytheon, and was the presser at Thrif-T-Way Dry Cleaners for over 20 years. She also worked at United Liquors when she left due to illness. She was a member of the Lawrence Lodge of Elks #65.

Carol is survived by her husband Wilfred P. “Sonny” Beliveau; two sons, Mark and his wife Leslie of Dracut, MA and David and his girlfriend Mia of Los Angeles, CA.; her mother Rita (Lacroix, Dubois) Marselis, who lived with Carol and her husband; two sisters, Joyce and her husband William Shields of Philadelphia, PA and Linda Dubois of Haverhill, MA; two brothers, John Marselis of Cherry Hill, NJ and Jeffrey Marselis and his wife Kelly of Myrtle Beach, SC.; two grandchildren Tara (Beliveau) Desrosiers and her husband Kristopher of Salem, NH and Michael Beliveau of Dracut, MA; two nieces; and several great nieces and great nephews. She lived long enough to see and to hold her newborn great grandchild, Kristopher, Jr. She was predeceased by her son, Stephen.

A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Thursday morning at 11 o’clock in Saint Patrick Church in Lawrence with burial to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in North Andover.

Friends will be warmly received on Wednesday from 4-8 P.M. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
