Michael C. Brandt, age 33, of West Bridgewater, formerly of Center Barnstead, NH, died peacefully April 19, 2012 after a courageous battle with Frontotemporal Degeneration (FTD). Michael was the loving husband of Katherine D. (McMullen) Brandt and father of Noah T. Brandt. He was born and raised in Houlton, Maine where he enjoyed summers at Camp Caribou. He was the son of Carolee (Sikes) Brandt of Columbia, SC and the late Carlton G. Brandt. Michael was a passionate intellect and a graduate of the Maine School of Science and Mathematics, received his Bachelors Degree in Theology from Saint Anselm College and Masters Degree in Philosophy from Boston College. Michael was a teacher at Saint Thomas Aquinas High School in Dover, NH and the owner of KNM Compnet Design. Michael’s family, friends, and colleagues will forever remember his engaging personality, compassionate spirit and fearless approach to life, love and learning.
He is also survived by a sister Jennifer Brandt Saltal, his grandmother Fay Sikes, friends and extended family. Michael’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the exceptional Neuro Rehabilitation Center staff for the warmth and care shown to Michael and his family during his stay with them.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Sunday 2-6pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Monday at 10am for a Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, West Bridgewater at 11am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
